"M!" security officers have been accused of racism against Asians. 'Countdown in France' after a video goes viral

'M! Countdown in France' security personnel have been accused of prejudice against Asians.

A viral video of security officers mistreating a fan at the 'M! Countdown in France' concert held on October 15 at the Paris La Defense Arena has sparked controversy over allegations of racism at the event.

The video depicts several security personnel forcing an Asian man to the ground before escorting him out of the venue. Approximately 22,000 concertgoers attended the 'M! Countdown' concert, and some allege that the security officers were particularly violent towards Asians.

Contrary to concert regulations, social media users claim security made Asian concertgoers open their bags and depart if they had a camera, whereas white concertgoers were allegedly treated differently. Online users reported seeing "a group of Asians being dragged out of the stadium because their bags contained cameras."

Staff members explained that the individual in the viral video was using a professional DSLR camera with a long-range lens, whereas other fans were using their smartphones. They also claimed that some of the supporters were aggressive toward the security personnel, and that the individual in question attempted to attack security. One alleged member of the security team added that he still bears bite and nail markings from concertgoers who were uncooperative.

Mnet reported that professional cameras are prohibited at the Paris La Defense Arena. We announced this on our official channels... We are investigating whether concertgoers were improperly restrained by security personnel."
